While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church on Midton Road” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the transcendence of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share. We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. CRADLE ROLL SERVICE – Sunday 18th August at 11.15am. Invitations have been sent to all the pre-school children who have been Baptised in St Columba and are not aged for St Columba Kids. If you have not received your invite please contact the Office. The service is followed by ice cream in the Midton Road Hall.
PIANIST URGENTLY REQUIRED for our nursing home worship team at Windyhall. In order to continue our ministry to those in this local nursing home in our parish, we need to find a replacement pianist BEFORE NEXT SUNDAY. We visit Windyhall on the second last Sunday of every month and you will be sent hymns in advance in order to accompany the singing (usually 5 hymns). We are a friendly and enthusiastic group and would love to welcome you as part of the team. If interested please contact the church office as soon as possible
DUTY TEAMS: for several reasons the Duty Teams are currently short of personnel. If you feel you might be able to support our Ministry and become part of a team, Irene in the office would be delighted to hear from you. This is not an overly demanding task – Duty Teams normally cover one Sunday every 10 weeks and require to attend both morning Services to help with door duty, collection and the count after the 11.15 service.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE CLOTHES BANK is a charity that provides school uniforms for children who would otherwise have none. Donations of jackets, items of uniform, PE kits, school bags and stationery can be left in the Church Office. All ages need to be catered for from 5 – 15 years. You have responded so well in the past to this superb charity – thank you so much for supporting this vital work.
AYR TOWN HALL CONCERT: The International Leader of the Salvation Army, General Peddle, is visiting Ayr on Saturday 17thAugust; he is hosting a Concert with Brass Bands and the Ayr Community Gospel Choir. ORGAN CONCERT: There will be an Organ Concert in the Church on Sunday 18th August at 7pm, when Italian Maestro Alessandro Bianchi will be returning. Free admission with a retiring offering. All welcome.
