20’s IN THE PEWS: The total collected in August was £104.58. This year monies will go to The Beatson Cancer Charity. This Charity has been established fairly recently and provides support services for patients and families involved with the Beatson.

DEEPEST THANKS to all who contributed to the Calais Refugee Crisis last Sunday. The retiring offering raised £1,235.

THE WORSHIP TEAMS will meet in the Centenary Aisle after the 11.15 service on Sunday 20th September. If you would like to be part of a worship team which conducts a service once a month in one of our local care homes, please do come along.
“CALLED BY NAME” – our class for those who would like to find out more about the Christian Faith and what it means to be a church member will enrol in the Centenary Aisle on Sunday 27th September after the 11.15 service.
FOOD BANK: Particularly needed this week – diluting juice, tinned vegetables, rice pudding, tins or packets custard, rice, sugar and coffee. Thank you for your continued support.
ORGAN RECITAL: Wednesday 16th September –we are looking forward to welcoming the internationally renowned organist Dr. Gordon Stewart to Ayr St. Columba.
LUNCH CLUB: there will be a start-up meeting on Tuesday 22nd September at 10am in the Struthers’ Room. Anyone interested in helping with our fortnightly Lunch Club please come along and find out more! The LUNCH CLUB restarts on Friday 2nd October at 12 noon.

The funeral service for Mrs Muriel Whatmore of Fairfield Flats will be held tomorrow at Masonhill at 12 noon. Our sympathy is extended to her nephew and the family. The funeral service for Mrs. Effie MacDiarmid of Claremont Care Home will be held at Masonhill on Thursday 17th at 1.15pm our prayers are extended to Hugh, Ann and the family.
