OUR HARVEST OFFERING: this year will go towards The Malawi Hunger Appeal. 6.5 million people are going hungry because of drought and erratic rainfall.
20’s IN THE PEWS: 20s for August – the total is £100.79 The Kirk Session has decided to donate funds raised this year to support the work of Combat Stress at Hollybush House, Ayr.
LIFE & WORK: Pre-ordered copies of the September edition are available for uplifting at the main door of the Church. There are extra copies available at both doors priced £2.20.

ORGAN RECITAL on 21st September at 7.30pm in the Church – by Tim Byram-Wigfield- Concert Organist and Recording Artist. Admission is free (Retiring collection).
MEN’S ASSOCIATION: there will be a committee meeting on Monday 26th at 7.30pm in the Struthers’ Room.
FOODBANK: Thank you for your continued support. All foods are very gratefully accepted – long life milk, diluting juice, tinned meals, tinned vegetables, tins of fruit, jars of coffee and jam, packets instant mash, packets of custard, rice, spaghetti and noodles are most needed!
“OASIS”: Drop in cafe, Struthers’ Room this Thursday 10.30 – 12.00. This is a place to relax, a place to chat, bring a friend! Come when you can, leave when you want. The morning papers are available.
GUILD: The new session of the Guild begins on Monday, 26 September at 7.30 p.m. and Dorothy and the Committee look forward to welcoming everyone. We hope many new members will also come along and join us. Our Minister, Revd Fraser, is our speaker and will dedicate The Guild and inspire us, as always, for our work in the year ahead. Look forward to seeing you all on 26 September for an evening of friendship and fellowship.
LIBRARY NEWS: There are some new additions to the library which were on display at the Elders’ Conference. Many of the books we’ve chosen are about helping folk to deal with difficult times, as well as celebrating life. Do have a browse.

Our sincerest sympathy and warm affection are extended to Mr Keith Halliday, Kyle and Keith, James Campbell Road, Ayr, on the death of Linda, a much loved wife, mum, daughter and niece. The service of thanksgiving for Linda’s life will be held here in the Church on Wednesday first, 21st September, at 10.45a.m., followed by the committal at Ayr Cemetery at 12 noon.
The funeral service for Mr Alex Morton of Bellevale Avenue will be held at Masonhill Crematorium on Thursday 29th September at 1.15. We assure his wife, Irene, and all the family of our support and prayers.
