20’s IN THE PEWS: The total collected in January was £65.00. The recipient will be decided at the next meeting of the Kirk Session.
TRUSTEES – all active Elders are requested to collect their copies of the Draft Accounts and Budget proposal from the appropriate pigeonhole, ahead of the Trustees meeting on Tuesday 23rd February at 7.30pm in the Church.
LIFE & WORK: Pre-ordered copies of the February edition are available for uplifting at the main door of the Church. There are extra copies available at both doors priced £2.20.
FOOD BANK: most needed at Foodbank this week are: sugar, jam, small jars of coffee, tinned meals, tinned or instant potatoes and small diluting juice. Thank you for your continued support.
ELDERS’ VISITS: Elders are reminded that reports should be sent to Margaret Loudon (mfloudon@gmail.com) except reports for St. Columba Kids, Bible Class, Uniformed Organisations and Bible Study Groups which should be sent to Bryce Hartshorn (bryce.hart@hotmail.co.uk) , before 20th March.
HALL LETS MEETING: this meeting will be held in the Struthers’ Room at 7.00pm on Tuesday 8th March. If your Group requires a Public Liability Insurance please ensure that this is brought to the meeting. Access keys should also be checked. All Groups must be represented at this meeting.
“OASIS”: Drop in café: Struthers’ Room, every Thursday 10 am – 12 noon. A place to relax, a place to chat; bring a friend! Come when you can, leave when you want. Tea, coffee and biscuits, newspapers and a friendly face!
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BIBLE STUDY will meet on 24th February 2016 at 2.00pm in the Carrick Room. All most welcome.
THE GUILD: Afternoon meeting – Monday 22nd February is one of our afternoon meetings, when we will hold our Spring Flower Tea and also learn from Mr Thomas Breckney of the progress at Dumfries House. A warm welcome is extended at 2pm to all members, old and new and to any visitors.
OUR PIPE ORGAN is undergoing restoration and the installation of a new Dulciana Stop. The work is going apace in the workshop of Harrison and Harrison in Durham, and the organ will be back in service in early March.
THE AYR ARK: Are hosting a Coffee Morning on Saturday 27th February 2016, 10am to 12 noon at Citadel Quay. Tea, Coffee, Home Baking, Craft & Book Stalls. Free Entry. All donations of home baking, books, or craft work would be gratefully received (contact Malcolm Mackay 01292 264509) and if you wish to have a stall please contact Gill, Deborah, Heather or Karis on 01292 264020.
