THE LOCAL CHURCH REVIEW Meeting scheduled for Wednesday first, 3rd February, is cancelled as the Presbytery Mission Organiser, the Revd Mandy Hickman, is ill. We apologise if you had set this evening aside! A meeting will be organised at a future date.
KIRK SESSION MEETING: the meeting scheduled for Thursday 4th February has been rearranged for Thursday 3rd March.
LIFE & WORK: Pre-ordered copies of the February edition are available for uplifting at the main door of the Church. There are extra copies available at both doors priced £2.20.
FOOD BANK: most needed at Foodbank this week are: sugar, jam, small jars of coffee, tinned meals, tinned or instant potatoes and small diluting juice. Thank you for your continued support.
OUR PIPE ORGAN is undergoing restoration and the installation of a new Dulciana Stop. The work is going apace in the workshop of Harrison and Harrison in Durham, and the organ will be back in service in early March.
YOUTH WORK, MISSION and working with challenging behaviour training day: Alistair Jones, Chief Executive of Frontier Youth Trust and a UK-wide specialist in mission with young people is delivering a training day for us. The day will focus on modern outreach strategies and working with children with challenging behaviours. Lunch is provided. On Saturday 13th February from 9.30am – 4.30pm. Venue: Salvation Army, John Street, Ayr. Please contact Stuart McKinlay if you wish to attend 261025.
“OASIS”: Drop in café: Struthers’ Room, every Thursday 10 am – 12 noon. A place to relax, a place to chat; bring a friend! Come when you want, leave when you want. Tea, coffee and biscuits, newspapers and a friendly face!
PARENT & TODDLERS: we really need two/three additional helpers for the following days: 3rd Tuesday of every month; 3rd Friday and 5th Friday of every month. If you have an hour and a half to spare to make tea for the Mums please speak to Irene in the office.
AEOLIAN MALE VOICE CHOIR: The Ladies’ Fellowship is delighted to welcome this highly acclaimed choir to the church on Tuesday 2 February at 7.30pm. Tickets for this concert are priced £5 and are available from the church office, from any committee member or on the door on the night. All proceeds from this fundraising concert will go to the Ladies’ Fellowship charities for this session – Cancer Research and South Ayrshire Dementia Support.
