MINISTRY OF FLOWERS: The flowers, which adorn the Sanctuary this week, have been given to the Glory of God by Miss Nan Picken, Mrs. Nan Conway & Mrs. Marilyn Miller, Mr. Hugh Nelson, Mrs. Jean Stewart and Mr. Alasdair Stewart.
THE MINISTER is covering Pastoral duties for Alloway Church during Revd Neil’s holiday until Friday 12th June.

OUR ASSOCIATE REVD. DAVID NESS will be conducting worship at Lochside this morning.
20’s IN THE PEWS: The total collected in May was £136.50. This year monies will go to The Beatson Cancer Charity. This Charity has been established fairly recently and provides support services for patients and families involved with the Beatson.
LIFE & WORK: Pre-ordered copies of the June edition are available for uplifting at the main door of the Church. There are extra copies available at both doors priced £2.00.
FOOD BANK: much needed this week, spaghetti, rice pudding, biscuits, milk, fruit juice, tinned or packet meals, packets of rice and of instant mash, coffee, jam, tinned fruit and tinned vegetables.
AMERICAN CHOIR – COTTON PATCH – the Musical: we have a unique opportunity to hear this wonderful Christian Musical performed by a choir of senior school pupils from North Carolina on Thursday 25th June. Tickets, priced £5 on sale after both services from the Office..
CAN YOU SPARE AN EVENING or two in mid -June to give our lovely sanctuary a really deep clean? If you can, please add your name to the list in the Carrick Park Vestibule, and come along on the evenings of Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June at 7.00pm. , armed with a bucket, cleaning materials and cloths and you will be allocated a part of the church to spruce up for summer. Supper will be served by our Hospitality Committee each evening. Thank you in anticipation!
BOOK CLUB: the meeting tomorrow 8th June will be held at 15 Hannah Wynd, St. Quivox. All are welcome.

Mrs. Dorothy Simpson is now resident in Bellevue Care Home.

The service of thanksgiving for the life of Mrs Barbara McLean of Abbots Crescent, Doonfoot, Ayr, who died in the Hospice this past week will be held here in the Church tomorrow, Monday 8th June, at 1.45p.m., followed by the committal at Masonhill at 2.45p.m.. Our sincerest condolences and warmest thoughts are extended to her daughters, Rhona and Alison, and their families.
The service of thanksgiving for the life of Mr David Rowan who died at his home in James Street Ayr, aged 28, was held at Masonhill on Friday past. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers are extended to his mother, Lilian, and the family.
