WELCOME TO ST COLUMBA CHURCH: People have been coming to this building to worship God for over a hundred years. While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church on Midton Road” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the transcendence of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share. We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. SOUTH AYRSHIRE CLOTHES BANK is a charity that provides school uniforms for children who would otherwise have none. Donations of jackets, items of uniform, PE kits, school bags and stationery can be left in the Church Office. All ages need to be catered for from 5 – 15 years. You have responded so well in the past to this superb charity – thank you so much for your wonderful support. Thank you for supporting this vital work.
AYR TOWN HALL CONCERT: The International Leader of the Salvation Army, General Peddle, is visiting Ayr on Saturday 17th August; he is hosting a Concert with Brass Bands and the Ayr Community Gospel Choir. CRADLE ROLL SERVICE – On Sunday 18th August at 11.15am we hope to welcome all the pre-school children who have been Baptised in St Columba. The service is followed by ice cream in the Midton Road Hall.

We record with sympathy the passing of Mrs. Sarah (Sally) Neil (Cumnor Hall). The Funeral Service was held last Friday.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Muriel Morton, who died in the Biggart Hospital this past week. The funeral service details have not been finalised.
Our sympathy and prayers are extended to daughter Marilyn and all the family of Mrs. Nan Conway, who passed away in the Hospice on Thursday. Funeral service details have not been finalised.
With deep sadness we record the passing of one of our faithful Elders, Mr. John Morrison. We extend our warmest sympathy and prayers to Fiona and the family. The Service of Thanksgiving will be held in the Church on Wednesday 31st July at 1.30pm followed by the committal at Masonhill at 2.45pm. Elders are asked to meet in the Struthers’ Room at 1.15pm.
