WELCOME TO ST COLUMBA CHURCH: People have been coming to this building to worship God for over a hundred years. While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church on Midton Road” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the transcendence of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share. We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. If this is your first time here, we welcome you, and invite you to share the joy that we have found.

THE BIG COFFEE MORNING– FRIDAY 27th September: 10 – 2pm in aid of MACMILLAN and S-A CLOTHING BANK. Tickets priced £3 available from the Office.
THE GUILD: The opening night of the Guild will be Monday, 30 September at 7.30 p.m. and we look forward to welcoming everyone back and hope some new members will come along and join us for friendship and fellowship; we meet every two weeks in the Midton Road Hall. We are delighted and privileged to have as our speaker The Revd Ian Paterson who will dedicate the Guild for the coming session and give us guidance on the way ahead and the title of his talk will be Companions on the Road. We would welcome anyone who would like to come along and enjoy the evening with us and enjoy The Supper.
FOOD BANK: There is an urgent need for the following groceries – 750ml diluting juice, tinned potatoes, tinned main meals (mince, stew etc), jam; small packets of tea bags, tinned custard and tinned rice pudding. Also UHT milk
LUNCH CAFÉ: the Team would like to thank everyone for their support. The sum of £265 was raised for the Ayrshire Hospice. The next Café Lunch will be on Sunday 13th October at 12.30pm. Monies raised will be donated to Whiteleys
OASIS CAFÉ: Drop into the Struthers Room 10.30am – 12 for a cup of tea/coffee. The Team will be here every Thursday morning, with a warm welcome, cosy chat and friendly faces.

We record with deepest sadness the passing of Mr. Jim Richardson. Our prayers and sincerest sympathies are extended to Ann and all the family. The Committal will take place at Masonhill at 10.30 followed by a Service of Thanksgiving in Church at 11.15am. on Monday 30th September.
