1 November 2015

WELCOME TO AYR: ST. COLUMBA CHURCH: Here at St Columba, you will find a warm welcome from committed Christian people who are serious about their faith journey but also enjoy having a good time. You will find passionate worship which seeks to incorporate both the traditional and the new, and preaching that tries hard to make the Scripture message relevant to our daily living. We are a congregation drawn from all parts of Ayr and beyond, and we come together to worship and to take part in all kinds of Christian service in the community. If you want a Church that will honour your journey of faith and challenge you to go deeper into your relationship with Jesus Christ, then this is the place for you, and we are delighted to welcome you. Let no one feel a stranger in this place! A very special welcome to the families of Jessica, Ethan and Lewis who will be baptised at the 11.15am Service this morning.

TIME TO REMEMBER SERVICE: will be held in the Centenary Aisle this Sunday at 4p.m. There will be a short act of worship, remembering loved ones who have died. This service will be designed specifically for reflection and prayer, with short readings and times for quiet meditation. You will have the chance to light a candle to remember someone dear.

LOCHSIDE MISSION & OUTREACH: Thanks to the pulpit appeal last week we welcomed two new volunteers. Thank goodness because 38 primary school children also came along on Monday evening which meant that our activities over a 24 hour period had a total attendance of 80 children. We therefore have to continue to seek more volunteers urgently especially for the Monday evening His Kids Club (6:30–7:30). It is not a commitment to weekly attendance just come when you are able, no skills required, help with registration and general support to other volunteers would be of tremendous assistance. Please contact Malcolm Mackay 264509 or Stuart McKinlay 261025 for more information. Many thanks. Come and experience the satisfaction of putting the Gospel into action.
MENS ASSOCIATION: Tomorrow evening the 2nd November our guest speaker will be Brian Malone, who will give us a presentation on “Health and Safety”. This may not be the sexiest of headings, however Brian has been recommended to us and this presentation will be anything but dull. New members will be warmly welcomed.
The series of BIBLE SEMINARS, exploring the relevance and diversity of this special book, will continue on Wednesday 4 November from 7.30 to 8.30 in the Struthers Room. All welcome.
