Ayr St Columba in a Vacancy

Ayr St Columba in a Vacancy

At the moment, Ayr St Columba Church is in a period of Vacancy. We hope the search for a new Minister will not take long, but we are currently benefitting from the excellent services of our Interim Moderator, Revd John Matthews. John’s experiences as a Minister and as a former manager in industry have equipped him to lead the Church in a positive and committed manner.

We are very fortunate to enjoy a busy Church for each Sunday service and we are grateful for the excellent preaching of our large and talented ministerial team. The leading of worship is shared by Revd Matthews, Revd David Ness, Revd Dr Ian Stirling and Ms Muriel Wilson, who is a Deacon in the Church of Scotland. In addition, we regularly invite guest preachers to lead worship. Members and visitors are always invited to share fellowship after our Sunday services over a most welcome cup of tea or coffee in the Main Hall.

Ayr St Columba is a very active church with many organisations on the go and many events taking place. The Oasis Café on Thursday mornings is very popular and we have a Knit and Natter Group, a Book Club, a Walking Group, a Ladies Fitness Group, a Lung Health Group, a Monday Fellowship Group as well as a number of Scout and Guide Troops. Information on our groups and activities is available from the Church Office.

Ayr St Columba is a friendly and welcoming church. We have hundreds of wonderful Elders and members who are always pleased to welcome visitors into our midst and to support the range of activities offered by the church. We extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to join us for a service or social event.
